M-TRAN.NET is a website created to represent me (Minh D. Tran),
who I am, my career, my web portfolio, and personal blog.
M-TRAN.NET is a personal webspace to promote freelance work
in the designing and development of web and visual arts.
Since the development of M-TRAN.NET in 2004, the website has
undergone many changes, cosmetics as well as coding. In early
2004, the website was designed using tables for layout. It was
a messy, non-standard HTML and CSS structure, with PHP to
include static files.
Later that year, M-TRAN.NET went through a test phase to
implement CSS only layout. And for the next few months, the
website was transformed into a partial table layout, partial css
layout. During this time, I was very interesting in learning about
Pure CSS and was using this site as an experiment.
In early 2005, M-TRAN.NET evolved into a Pure CSS website, with
better and more graphics. This was during the age of Bloggers. At
the same time, I wanted to test out my MySQL database, along with
more advanced PHP codes, I decided to make it a partial blog,
partial personal website. This layout was flawless, it complied
with the W3C's standards for XHTML 1.1, CSS 2.0, and the Web
Accessibility Initiative Level AAA Conformance to Web Content
Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 (WAI-AAA WCAG 1.0).
This website was submitted to compete in the Webby Awards and was
selected as an Official Honoree of the 10th Annual Webby Awards.
Shortly after, in early 2006, keeping the flawless codes, the
website received a total makeover; hoping to compete again for the
11th Annual Webby Awards. Only this time, the aim was to win the
Webby in the category of "Personal Web Sites." The site was remodeled
to what you see today.
So now, you know the history of M-TRAN.NET, I hope you will make
frequent visits to this website and wish me luck in competing!
